An Australian job networking site is asking for nominations for their own lecturer of the year awards. Why not nominate one (or two, or three) of our fantastic Deakin psychology staff members? Congratulations to Patrick Wig who won this year's lecturer of the year. It was a very close one this year, with over 220 votes overall. Congratulations also go to Alex Mussap who was the runner up for Burwood, and to Lucy Zinkiewicz who was the runner up for Geelong. Thanks to everyone who voted, and many many thanks to all of the lecturers who were nominated, all of your students obviously appreciate the fantastic work that you are doing. |

 Lauren Snell (a 4th year psychology student at Deakin) will be participating in the Red Cross Murray Marathon. From Boxing Day to New Years Eve as part of the K4 Challenge she and her team will be paddling a kayak 404 km down the Murray River. This event raises money for the Red Cross to help them in continuing the work they do for local communities in Australasia.
